Angelos Lagoudakis
Hello!
I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Economics at Iowa State University (ISU) and an NSF NRT DataFEWSion Scholar-Trainee. I earned my M.Sc. in Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics from Michigan State University and my undergraduate diploma (B.Sc. & M.Sc.) in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development from the Agricultural University of Athens.
I am an applied microeconomist focusing on food and health economics, consumer and producer behavior, and industrial organization. I employ applied microeconometrics and experimental economics methods to answer questions relevant to economists, data analysts, and policymakers.
I have recently developed a keen interest in artificial intelligence and its myriad applications, particularly in teaching, economic forecasting, and data analysis.
I am currently serving as the Graduate Student Representative of the Food, Safety, and Nutrition Section (FSN) of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA), a member of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Graduate Student Committee at ISU, and the Help Room Supervisor of the Economics Department at ISU.
